so bored, so I just wanted to share this...
i think prostitution is just another job. It's as old as the world itself. So many people are making this a big deal because prostitution involves sexual activities. Women, especially, are making this a big deal because they are fighting for their rights. They think women, even teens, should not sell their bodies to men.
Prostitution, to me, is an honest living. Though, I agree with Yu Ting that it is morally wrong to take on the job. Most women choose prostitution as the last resort because they have no other ways to financially support themselves. So they turn to their one and only way - prostitution.
I totally hate the idea of underage prositution, it's just not right - girls are treated as sex slaves. But once a girl surpasses the 20-year mark, they have the right to own the freedom of choice. If she decides to go for it, let it be. She should take responsibility for her actions. You cannot blame anyone, it was her choice. I think prostitution should be legalised, and monitored.
Some people are happy with the job - they make good money, some even enjoy doing it.Of course, prostitution can also be regarded as a shameful, disgraceful job. I'm very sure that if, these women were offered a decent job with money, they wouldn't hesitate to accept it.
Like I said, prostitution is the last resort.
